Clinical Study Scope

Many OTC drugs are used by the general population at the recommendation of their providers

Several prescription drugs have become OTC drugs as post market studies prove efficacy and safety for the general public without the need for provider supervision

Post approval studies target two tiers of research that eventually result in provider recommendation of an OTC product when studies prove:

Superior efficacy compared to a placebo form
Superior efficacy compared to the market leader

Clinical Study Interests

Pain from osteoarthritis

Dermatome pain from HSV/shingles

Pain from muscle spasm

Pain from skin cellulitis

Pain from cancer in the visceral organ

Pain from cancer in the bone

Chronic pain syndrome

Pain from fibromyalgia

Infection response rate from skin cellulitis

Acne resolution rate

Inflammation resolution rate for insect and other bug bites

Immune mediated skin condition symptom resolution rate

Wound closure rate from decubitus ulcers

Wound closure rate from infected and dehisced surgical incisions

Clinical study protocol: Tier 1

Study participants with specific medical condition are recruited and randomized into control and study groups

The study group receives active C path

The control group receives placebo patch

Both patches appear identical

Neither the study participant nor the investigator is aware of the identify of the patches

Participants journal their symptoms for the duration of the study (symptom control studies)

Investigators document clinical progress for the duration of the study (wound healing time studies)

Clinical Study Protocol: Tier 2

Study participants with specific medical condition are recruited and randomized into study and control groups

The study group receives the active C patches for treatment of their condition

The control group receives the leading market product for treatment of their condition

All participants journal their symptoms (symptom control studies)

Investigators document healing progress (wound healing time studies)

Publication Channels

Publication in scientific and medical journals depend on the disease studies and the type of active C patch used

Potential journals can include technology journals that publish the technologic aspect of a drug such as rheumatology and arthritis journals, pain management journals, and dermatology journals

Articles for publication can be in peer review, editorial, case presentation and review article formats
